A little bit more about me & my background
Opening myself up and having the desire to develop my self-awareness, coaching and leadership skills was a game changer in my career. Doing things the way I’d always done them – people pleasing to the point of exhaustion, unwilling to delegate fully, afraid to take risks for fear of failure, being overly self-critical and thinking I had to behave in a certain type of ‘corporate way’ was holding me back and resulted in burn-out and a lack of fulfillment with my work.
Through coaching I learned the skills to:
- Effectively manage priorities so that I was spending more time on the most important and strategic areas. Resulting in less stress, improved performance and a greater sense of well-being
- Communicate well – getting my point across clearly, confidently and with impact. With the assertiveness to speak up about issues in a constructive way.
- Lead better and empower my team. Adopting a coaching approach meant we were more goal oriented, focused and accountable with a greater sense of trust and support among team members
- Play to my strengths and manage my inner critic. With increased self-awareness I knew how to leverage my strong points whilst having the confidence to ask for support with my weaker areas.
- Be myself and enjoy what I was doing a lot more. I found it easier to trust myself, make decisions and leverage my natural intuitive abilities instead of dismissing them
- Discover meaning and purpose in what I was doing which gave me more focus, energy and fulfillment

You meet many people in the business world but only some leave their mark and one of them is Cathy. As a numbers person being an accountant and only having recently set up my own Accounting Firm Ekstra Accounting Solutions, one of the things I was struggling with was articulating the businesses core purpose. After only two sessions, I had a one page document that sums up my overall business marketing strategy.
